Nick Chubb
Director
Nick’s commercial background was originally in Sales and Customer Relations working for the Jacks Motor group for 5 years before starting his career in the Communications Industry in 1992 with a job at Show Hire as a Communication Engineer.
Nick became a Partner in 1998 and took over a large customer base as well as introducing and developing a new portfolio of clients and events all over the UK and Europe.
In the winter of 2002 Nick took over the ownership of Show Hire and the position of Managing Director, a role that he finds incredibly rewarding and challenging. He has now been with Show Hire for over 15 of the 30 years that the company has been trading for and has a wealth of experience in the Outdoor Events Industry at all levels.

Robert Kane
Installations/Repairs Manager
Robert came to Show Hire after a five year employment in the manufacturing industry where he was responsible for the engineering and manufacture of lasers for the industrial, military and medical sectors. His expertise was in the assembly of electrode components as well as sintering and welding processes used in hydrogen furnaces.
Robert started with Show Hire in 2005 and currently heads up the on-site teams for installations both in the events industry as well as all our permanent installations. Robert is also in charge of our in-house repairs department and he is in charge of quality control for all out going repairs.

Peter Knifton B. Tech MCIM MIET
Communications Engineer
As the original founder of the business in the late 1960s Peter has been involved in the design and implementation of communication systems for nearly 40 years.
Peter has worked for many of the big names in the communications industry, including Motorola, Racal, and Lucent and currently runs his own electrical engineering business specialising in high-end lighting power and communications installation work.
Peter brings his wealth of experience to the team assisting with the design and implementation of our more complex projects and the general oversight of the company’s technical strategy.

Geoffrey Chubb
Director
Geoffrey has a career spanning forty years as a company director where he has a wealth of experience in the retail and the service industries. Before becoming a Director at Show Hire, Geoffrey spent 25 years as Managing Director at the Jacks Motor group with branches all over the south of England providing sales and service for high end, luxury cars.
Geoffrey became a Director of Show Hire in 2003 and is involved in all aspects of accountancy and management on a daily basis. His vast experience as a company director is invaluable to us on a daily basis.

Harriet Whitehouse
Office and Marketing Manager
Harriet’s background is in Human Resource Management, over the last 10 years she has worked in a variety of industries from private medical to high street retail multinationals. Harriet started working with Show Hire in 2009 and has been a credit to the company with an incredible eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills. Harriet currently manages all of Show Hires office staff and oversees all of our marketing campaigns.

Matt Dellar
AV specialist
Matt can provide audio visual technical support for events including stage sets, audio visual equipment and full technical production.
With over 10 years working with Rapier Group as a Technical Manager and 20 years industry experience.
Matt has worked on thousands of events, including large corporate sales conferences, medical meetings, AGM’s, product launches and road-shows at venues in the UK, Europe and throughout the world.
He has also previously worked extensively with McLaren Racing as a team member providing on site AV support to the team at each Grand Prix.

Ross Slaughter
Sound Engineer
Ross came to Show Hire after 3 years working in radio industry where he was responsible for the output of various radio shows working alongside the likes of James Whale, Mike Mendoza and Mick Brown. His expertise was the production of station imaging and programming as well as producing his own radio show.
Ross now engineers at all of our major outdoor events as well organising logistics and installations throughout the UK.

Contractors
Show Hire has a diverse team of more than ten contractors who all work for us regularly. Many of them have previously worked full time for the company or have worked in similar companies in the industry. Each has a wealth of experience in the events industry, as well as in the installation and servicing of public address and Communication Systems.
